FMB - Federation of Master Builders

The FMB is the building industries largest trade organisation and members are carefully vetted before they are allowed to join. References must be supplied in support of the contractors technical capabilities and customer satisfaction. Credit checks, public record and director checks are performed and liability insurances are vetted.

Members of FMB must continually work to a strict code of practice which is committed to each year when membership is renewed. This code of practice relates to the contractors relationship with customers throughout the building process and ensures the highest level of moral and ethical standards.

CHAS - Contractors Health and Safety Scheme

CHAS work jointly with Constructionline to assess contractors in all areas of competence. Membership of these schemes means that contractors have been rigorously assessed and are consequently considered to be of a high enough standard to be a recommended contractor on the UK Governments register of construction and construction related contractors.

Accreditation with CHAS means that the contractor has demonstrated compliance with, and sound management of, current basic health and safety legislation. We are proud of this achievement as we are informed that 4 out of 5 companies who apply for accreditation fail their first assessment.

Constructionline

Constructionline work jointly with CHAS to assess contractors in all areas of competence. Membership of these schemes means that contractors have been rigorously assessed and are consequently considered to be of a high enough standard to be a recommended contractor on the UK Governments register of construction and construction related contractors.

Membership of Constructionline means that the contractor has met pre-set standards regarding technical ability and financial standing.

NTR - National Trade Register

Businesses registered with this scheme have demonstrated a commitment to fair and honest trading practices and delivering good customer service.

BioKilCrown

A BioKil Crown approved contractor has been assessed and attained the standard required for the diagnosis and installation of damp-proof courses and timber infestation treatments.
